Saturday 4th September Norfolk Fire and Rescue and Norfolk County Council’s Safety Team will be providing FREE child seat safety checks at Budgens car park in Holt from 10.00am until 2.00pm. So why not go along and check your Child's Safety Seat is fitted correctly. Sunday 12th September Holt Safer Neighbourhood Team Fun Day at Holt Sports and Social Club. This is an annual event which was very well attended last year. The fun day starts at 12.30pm and will include a football competition, bouncy castle, raffle, BBQ and refreshments so do go along and enjoy the fun with your family! Tuesday 14th September Childminding Matters are holding an information sessions at the Children’s Centre from 10.00am - 11.30am, for adults to come and find out more about a career in Childminding. There will be information to take away and Sue Williamson will be on hand to answer any questions. If you are interested in a career in Childminding then please come and see Sue at the Children's Centre on the 14th. Tuesday 14th September We are holding our 1st Parents Forum from 12.00noon - 2.00pm during which lunch will be provided and parents/carers can bring their children along. The first few meetings will be setting the foundations of the forum, meeting other interested parents/carers and discussing how the forum can provide feedback and ideas to help the Children’s Centre to develop services wanted in the area. It will be decided at the meeting how frequently the forum will meet and at what time of the day ect. The forum will be a important part of decided how our services and resources are used, and most of all we hope it will bring families and the Children’s Centre closer together. Wednesday 29th September How Babies Learn Course– This course is run by Hand in Hand Learning and is an excellent course designed for expectant parents and those with babies up to 18 months old. The course gives an insight as to how your baby’s brain develops during pregnancy and the first few months of life. The course also looks at how as parents we influence our baby’s learning, both with how you interact with your baby, and the type of learner you are as a parent. The course runs over 6 sessions all are on Wednesday evenings starting on 29th at 7.00pm- 9.00pm.
